Whether you’ve been our customer for years, or you’re a new addition to our following, we want to make sure you are getting to know us better. Our love for travel technology doesn’t stop with mobile. And while we want to have fun, while building a great travel app, we take our work seriously. We care about making sure everyone enjoys the travel experience and we definitely don’t want anyone to ever taint that.

It’s part of what draws us to the human trafficking fight. The numbers are daunting. In 2011, the National Human Trafficking Hotline fielded more than 19,000 calls with reports of potential victims in the U.S., alone. We have spent time with a leader for this cause, the Polaris Project, and we heard such a compelling need to create a positive future for the survivors. Our goal is to focus on their needs – therapy, training and jobs, and at the same time spread awareness about human trafficking to make a difference for the 20.9 million people impacted around the world.

We feel a responsibility as part of the travel and tourism industry.  This is now a part of who we are and as we grow in our commitment, we are looking at how we can best support this cause with our products, our network of customers and partners and through the brand.

By teaming with Polaris Project we can raise awareness to save thousands of lives. Most reports of trafficking do not come from victims because they are either fearful or ashamed, but from community members, friends, and family. That could be any of us.  In 2011, call volume to the Hotline increased 64% with tips about trafficking, partly due to raised awareness. If you or anyone you know has information about human trafficking, please contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at (888) 373-7888.
