It all started when…
The TripCase team set out a goal to bring valuable services and seamless experiences to travelers.
As a traveler, you get the most out of services when you can experience them in a form most convenient for you. That’s why we’ve invested so much in our wearable apps. We believe your needs change as you go through your trip. You might plan your itinerary on your computer, but when you’re running through the airport, your phone or smartwatch is the best way to be notified of flight changes. We addressed this by providing access to your TripCase account from your computer, phone, tablet or smartwatch – the device most convenient for you.
Translating TripCase
Next we had to tackle the language aspect of our goal. With a significant portion of our users hailing from non-English speaking countries, we saw a potential to take our service up a notch. Let’s say you are traveling to London, but you’re flying from your home in Brazil. It’s probably much easier for you to read your itinerary in Portuguese, if that’s your native language.
There are people like you all over the world who are traveling now more than ever. In fact, according to a recent Euromonitor International study, over one billion extra people will be traveling in 2030.
“Translating TripCase into 8 more languages was a decision that didn’t come lightly. As we took on this huge endeavor, we had to understand that this would not be a one-time project to check off the list. So when we asked Tate if we just stretched our list of tasks for every release, increased our time to test, and grew the number of markets we now need to research, she simply replied, “Certainly. But after listening to our millions of users and affiliates around the world, we are confident that by translating TripCase, we are headed in the right direction.” And she’s not alone in that belief. I have been waiting for multilanguage-support for over 3 years now. I am so glade that you finally starting to offer it!
I am from Germany and would be happy if German language support is also added soon.
Within the last 3 years I had contact with your customer support saying that German language support “will be added soon”. But unfortunately it was not offered with the first rollout.
Are there a timeline when Germany language support is ready to rollout as well?

Tom – you’re very welcome! This is only the first set of languages that we’ll support – our product team is looking at other languages to add in the future. German, among others, presents an interesting challenge, since often German words are longer than their English translations, so we have additional work to do to make sure that our interface can support the extra characters. Unfortunately, we don’t have a timeline for this, but rest assured, it’s something we’re looking at. Thanks for being such a loyal TripCase user!
German is missing!
Steiner – thanks for commenting. This is the first round of languages that we’re rolling out. We’re continuing to explore adding more languages in the future, and German is definitely one that we’re looking at.
Hope that German is coming soon. Even if the translated words are longer than in English.

JD – to change your language, you’ll need to access your profile via a web browser. We’re working on adding this capability to mobile in the future.

Like your offering but prelim read does not integrate trains. I do not fly due to metal implants so knowing about disruptions like the flooding in the Carolinas would be helpful. Otherwise, looks promising to my needs.
Rich – We do support train bookings, but there isn’t currently a good universal system for train alerts like we have for flights (as I’m sure you already know). This is a great suggestion, though – I’ll definitely pass this back to our product team.
Would be great as you are thinking of enhancing your app — to add a “translation” for common used phrases or “must have” questions or requests. Example: English speaking , traveling to Italy. translate from English to Italian for Taxi instruction to get to hotel or to order a meal or to have a basic greetings upon arrival, etc Love Trip Case and the ease of use. Very helpful to organize both personal and business trips!
Elaina – That’s a great suggestion! There are other apps that you can use for this today, but it definitely would be cool to have a button within TripCase to provide quick easy access to this. I’ll let our product team know and see what they can come up with.

It’s nice that Tripcase has been translated; however for those who work with TripCase on an ongoing basis this is at best a “nice-to-have”. What REALLY IS NEEDED is the option to display time and dates in the international format; i.e. DD.MM.YYYY and time in the 24:00 hours format.
Dear all, i reported s few times ago that i could not manage a car booking with a pock-up location and drop-off location. Guess, you ll up date that, and, also do not see the 24 hrs setup as only have am (!) format….

Arabic is a widely spread language and would like to see it very soon in tripcase.

When adding items to an itinerary, it would be nice if tripcase defaulted to the city and country where the trip is taking place. It does become annoying after a while having to select the country and city 30 or 40 times for the one trip
