If you’ve always dreamed of visiting Europe or you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to go back, now is your chance. With the Euro being the lowest it has been in over a decade and low fuel prices the time is now to travel to Europe. Here’s a list of recommended destinations for you when you pack your bags and head across the pond.
Ah, Paris. One of the quintessential European destinations. You’ll find plenty of culture and fine arts to ogle, as well as great food and wine choices.
The capitol of Austria, Vienna is loaded with beautiful architecture, and their coffee is an other-worldly experience, as well. Be sure to take a walking tour of the city and its various museums.
Amsterdam is a beautiful old city, but be prepared to walk or bicycle to get around. You can, of course, also take the city buses, but what’s the fun in that? You’ll definitely want to carve out some time for the Anne Frank house and the Van Gogh Museum, as well.
Barcelona is a beautiful city by the sea, with wonderful architecture and food. Don’t skip out on the paella, and be sure to share some tapas with the rest of your entourage (or meet some new travel buddies while you’re there!). The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia is a must-see, as well.
If you’re going to go to Munich, go during Oktoberfest, and be sure to bring your drinking hat – the beer is plentiful, and delicious.
Krakow is one of the most culturally significant cities in Poland, having been the central site of the Nazi General Government during World War II. There are plenty of related museums and historic sights, as well. Fun fact: part of the TripCase product development and tech team is based in Krakow!
Even if you don’t want to commit to venturing over to Europe this year, you’re still in luck – European wines and other goods are expected to be more affordable in the U.S. and other countries, as well!
