We’re proud to announce that TripCase has integrated the new Uber API into our mobile travel management app. It makes sense, given that we help travelers around the world plan over two million trips per month. TripCase and Uber are perfect partners, since we’re both dedicated to providing travelers with extraordinary trip experiences.
TripCase and Uber
For travelers who haven’t yet discovered the awesomeness of TripCase, travel can be complicated, cumbersome, and time-consuming. People want a more streamlined, stress-free experience so they can spend more time on the reasons for their trip – like closing a new deal or enjoying time with family – and less time on the logistics of travel. Our integration with Uber furthers our mission to deliver that extraordinary experience through one full-service tool.
Starting today, TripCase users can get a ride with Uber directly from the TripCase app (in cities where Uber is available). Since we know where you are in your trip, TripCase can offer the Uber service at just the right time. We’re able to pre-populate the current location and expected destination, saving our travelers the time to enter this information. Additionally, the Uber API will allow us to pull in estimated time of arrival and costs, to make it as easy as possible. Travelers who use Uber through TripCase will also receive a special discount pricing.
TripCase User Survey on Getting Around Town
According to a recent survey of TripCase users, convenience is the #1 consideration for 76% of travelers when choosing a mode of ground transportation. When we split the survey responses out between business and leisure travelers, we found similar results. After convenience, 53% of business travelers want the ability to pay with credit card, while 57% of leisure travelers consider cost in choosing a mode of transportation.
“By integrating with Uber, we’re bringing the most innovative ride share services directly to our users so they never have to worry about finding a ride, having cash or scrambling for an address” – John Samuel, Senior Vice President, Sabre Traveler Solutions
TripCase, which processed more than 20 million trips last year alone, has offered Uber services to travelers since 2013, and this expanded relationship represents a deeper technology integration and a closer business relationship between Uber and TripCase.
Uber experience supports TripCase’s vision to provide people with a simple way to manage everything they need while traveling. Whether through home-grown innovations or third party sources, TripCase puts the newest and most relevant travel-related innovations at travelers’ fingertips.
