That’s right, you heard it here first. TripCase is undergoing a redesign! And best of all, we’ll be previewing it next week at the 2012 Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention in Boston, an annual global travel industry event.

If you’re one of the 6,000 or so corporate travel managers, travel professionals and travel suppliers attending this year’s convention July 22-25, please be sure to stop by booth #1739 on the expo floor to see the new TripCase. We’ll have live demos of the updated travel management tool, along with lots of free giveaways. So, come say hello – we’d love to walk you through the new interface and sleek, clean look that will make TripCase navigation easier on the Web and in the mobile application.

We aren’t good at keeping secrets

The new TripCase will officially launch later this year. And while we’re not ready to share all we’ve got up our sleeves, we can’t keep quiet about everything. So, how about we let a few more features out of the bag?

For starters, in addition to the smoother site navigation and streamlined appearance, we’ll be rolling out an improved architecture and layout in 2012 that features:

  • A hidden but easily accessible menu on the left that puts the most important features and information at your fingertips
  • Multiple itinerary view options so you can see the total trip at a glance, view by segment or by chronology of events
  • Separation of active and past trips so you can see the most relevant trips and still have access to past trips
  • Branded messages from agencies, corporations and suppliers

TripCase will be new on the Web and your mobile device

The new web version of TripCase will be designed as your travel home base, allowing you to more easily manage, track and share upcoming and previous trips. The mobile version of TripCase will be your personal, on-the-road travel concierge, helping you navigate and manage unexpected itinerary changes or obstacles that come up in transit. Corporations, agencies, and suppliers will also benefit by having timely relevant messages delivered to travelers at the right point in their trips.

Some things will never change

The new TripCase will continue to actively monitor any factors that could change or impact your trip including weather, flight delays and gate changes. And we’ll always automatically notify you when changes occur. Better still, TripCase remains the only travel management app that offers these important flight alerts at no charge.

And because TripCase has been integrated with Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS), or computerized reservations system, millions of travelers can automatically access their trip information in TripCase and receive real-time updates and changes on flight information.

Not going to GBTA?

No worries. We’ll be sharing more about the new TripCase very soon. So please stay tuned!
